Ali joined the Chamber in 2016 and serves as Program Manager, leading program delivery, coordinating impactful events, and supporting clients and stakeholders. He works closely with team members to foster communication, collaboration, and organizational success.
With an MBA and academic training in engineering (BE) and tourism, Ali brings a unique blend of skills and experience to his role. His career spans international trade, tourism, event management, education services, and broadcasting, where he has directed, produced, and hosted programs.
Ali was named one of the Faces of Fusion in 2017 and received the New Islander Award. He was also a finalist for the Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards.
Passionate about building connections and strengthening communities, Ali enjoys volunteering and organizing events that bring people together and create opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Originally from Honduras, Ashanti Vega is a driven young professional who made the decision to move to Prince Edward Island in search of new dreams and opportunities. She holds a background in International Affairs, bringing a global perspective and strong cross-cultural understanding to her work.
After arriving in PEI, Ashanti further strengthened her expertise by graduating from Holland College’s Marketing and Advertising Management program. She now serves as the Events and Marketing Manager at PEI Connectors, where she supports initiatives that foster connections between newcomers, businesses, and the local community.
With a combination of international academic experience and local industry knowledge, Ashanti is passionate about creating meaningful engagement opportunities and helping others feel welcomed and supported.
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places, building connections, and engaging in community activities.

Originally from Beijing, China, Holsen holds a master’s degree in physics and engineering and brings many years of experience in managing and operating businesses in the Electronic and Information Technology sectors. After moving to PEI, he operated his own business and worked with several local companies before joining the PEI Connectors team in early 2022.
With extensive knowledge of local businesses and communities, combined with his background in management, accounting, and operations, Holsen is dedicated to supporting both Entrepreneur and Job Seeker clients in achieving success in PEI.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing volleyball and spending time on DIY projects in his garage workshop.

With more than 20 years of experience in market research, business strategy, client engagement, Kevin Doan has helped organizations better understand their customers, markets, and opportunities for growth. Combined with an MBA and professional experience across Canada, Singapore, and Vietnam, his background provides a unique perspective on business, leadership, and relationship building.
Today, Kevin supports newcomer entrepreneurs and job seekers in Prince Edward Island by providing guidance, facilitating professional connections, and helping clients navigate the local business and employment landscape. Having worked with organizations ranging from local businesses to many of the world's most recognized brands across consumer goods, financial services, telecommunications, technology, retail, and healthcare sectors, he is passionate about helping newcomers build meaningful connections and achieve their professional and entrepreneurial goals in PEI. Kevin provides services in both English and Vietnamese.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys long-distance running, pickleball, and spending time with family.

After a 16-year career in the financial services industry, Karen left Toronto for Prince Edward Island. In May 2000 she opened The Inn at St. Peters, a 4 ½ star 16 room Inn and a 55-seat restaurant quickly turning it into one of the top seasonal accommodation providers in PEI. With a staff of 25, the Inn was a six-time winner of Tripadvisor’s Award as One of the Top 25 Small Hotels in Canada.
After selling the Inn and enjoying a year of retirement Karen knew she had a myriad of experience that would be beneficial to others moving to PEI. She joined PEI Connectors where she not only shares her expertise in the tourism industry but is also strongly involved in Kings County’s business community.
In her spare time Karen and her husband enjoy travelling, including visiting family in Ontario and Quebec.
